Christian Science

What is Christian Science?

Thanks for asking! The heart of Christian Science is Love. It’s about feeling and understanding God’s goodness. It’s based on the Bible and is explained in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy. It shows the practicality of better understanding God, Christ Jesus, goodness, life, sacrament, salvation, and more. Anyone can find God to be “a very present help in trouble” (Ps. 46:1). What about healing?

For more than 130 years, over 80,000 healings through Christian Science have been verified and published by The Christian Science Journal, Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science. One way to learn about healing is to attend a Wednesday testimony meeting at a church near you or online.

The Christian Science Bible Lessons

The Bible together with our textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy constitute the pastor of the Christian Science Church. The Bible Lessons published in the Christian Science Quarterly are an important component of Christian Science study. Each week brings a new lesson consisting of correlated passages from these two texts. At the end of each week, Christian Science churches, societies, and groups gather to read the lesson as the Sunday sermon. Find out more about the Christian Science Bible Lesson.
